by

The INSS (National Social Security Institute) workers ended the strike that lasted almost two months and agreed to return to service at the units. According to the SINSSP (Social Security and Social Security Workers Union in the State of São Paulo), professionals returned to work this Tuesday (24).

The category accepted a 5% readjustment that will be granted to all federal servants, compared to a readjustment of 19.99%, after 61 days of stoppage. However, the readjustment has not yet been defined by the federal government.

The agreement to end the strike was signed at the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in the presence of Minister José Carlos Oliveira, the president of the INSS, Guilherme Serrano, the deputy director of Personnel Management at the INSS, Eva Lorena Ferreira, and representatives of the category.

Although the INSS does not report the current queue of people waiting for a response from the agency, in all, more than 1 million insured people were waiting in line for a medical examination, according to information from the Ministry of Labor and Welfare.

In the document, the servers committed to replacing the days not worked to speed up the analysis of processes and the granting of benefits. Compensation will be made according to the work plan that is yet to be prepared. Under the agreement, compensation can be made until June 30, 2023.

In addition to the demands related to career enhancement, the agreement provides for the constitution of a permanent committee to improve the management program and work processes of social security services (social service and professional rehabilitation), with equal participation of career representatives and the INSS. , with deliberative power to present proposals to the Presidency of the Municipality.

“With the signing of this agreement, we have resumed our ability to serve the population. All services of the INSS and Medical Expertise are being resumed and, soon, we will shorten this wait of the insured for a benefit”, said in a statement the minister of Work and Pensions, José Carlos Oliveira.

President of SINSSP, Pedro Totti assesses that the agreement did not meet the expectations of the category, but that the stoppage had positive effects. “We managed to show in these two months of strike the real situation in which the INSS finds itself. Today, we have a gap of more than 15 thousand servers”, he said.

Also on Monday (23), the medical experts returned to work. According to the ANMP (National Association of Medical Experts), all 18 claims in the category were accepted by the federal government.

According to the experts, in the agreement signed by representatives of the category and by the Minister of Welfare, it was established that, if the readjustment of the servers is linear for the entire civil service, the experts will receive the same index. In all, there were 52 days of stoppage.
