Panel SA: MedSénior starts operating in São Paulo in July

by

MedSênior, a healthcare operator focused on the client over 60 years old, will start working in São Paulo from July this year, when it plans to open an outpatient care center.

Currently with a base of 75 thousand customers in the portfolio, the company has an expansion plan for this year that includes approximately R$ 20 million in investments. In São Paulo, the group foresees expanding its own network and accrediting hospitals, clinics and emergency rooms.

MedSênior has a unit in Espírito Santo, where it started, and also in Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro and Brasília (DF).

According to a management report released in March, the operator expects to register a real increase of 40% in the volume of health plans sold, and of 46% in gross revenue. In January of this year, the operator received contributions from the Sovereign Fund of Singapore.

The company has invested in its own service network, in a model similar to that of Prevent Senior, whose operation is also aimed at the elderly. In Vitória (ES), MedSénior is a geriatric hospital that occupies eight thousand square meters of built area and 107 inpatient beds.

In addition to the arrival in São Paulo, the expansion plan includes a new advanced emergency room in Vila Velha and a diagnostic center in Cariacica, both in Espírito Santo.
