The extract of the Income Tax 2022 declaration, which is accessed on the e-CAC Portal (Virtual Service Center of the Federal Revenue), presents instability this Monday (30). As a result, many taxpayers who have already declared the IR are unable to check whether there has been processing or if there are failures that require data correction.
As of 4 pm on Monday, 31.5 million taxpayers had declared their income tax. In all, 34.1 million documents are expected. With that, 2.6 million still need to be accountable. The deadline ends at 23:59 this Tuesday (31). Whoever is obliged to declare and does not deliver the document pays a minimum fine of R$ 165.74, which can reach 20% of the tax due in the year.
According to the Federal Revenue, consultations with the IR statement can now be carried out, both through the e-CAC Portal and through the Meu Imposto de Renda application. However, “as the volume of transactions increases a lot in recent days, there may be slowdowns”, says the tax authorities. With that, the taxpayer who can’t get access should try a little later.
For those who have already submitted the IR, the tax extract shows the current status of the declaration, which can be modified during the next five years, according to the IRS. Here’s what you can see when you run the query:
- Delivered (means that the IRS computers have already received the document)
- In Process (the declaration has been received and is being processed)
- In review or pending (the declaration has errors)
- In queue (waiting for analysis)
- Finished (analysis has ended)
- In refund queue (waiting for refund payment)
When can I consult the IR?
According to the IRS, the general rule is that, 24 hours after delivery of the declaration, it is possible to consult the IR statement. However, it is normal that in the first and last days of delivery this period increases to three or four days.
