Mônica Bergamo: Wilson Quintella, former CEO of Camargo Corrêa, dies at 95

Died this Monday (6), at the age of 95, the businessman and former CEO of Camargo Corrêa Wilson Quintella.

Quintella worked in the construction of Brasília and in works such as the São Paulo subway, the Rio-Niterói bridge, the Castelo Branco, Bandeirantes and Imigrantes highways and the hydroelectric plants of Itaipu and Ilha Solteira, in addition to the airports of Cumbica and Manaus.

In the 1980s, after 40 years working at the Camargo Corrêa group, he began to dedicate himself to the soybean export market alongside José Cutrale.

He also participated in the creation of the Tietê-Paraná waterway and installed the first private trains that operated on the then Fepasa network (Ferrovia Paulista S/A) and the Federal Railways Network.

Wilson Quintella was married for 70 years to Sonia Rehder Quintella, with whom he had six children, 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
