The market came under pressure as it closed yesterday after yesterday’s sell-off on Wall Street, as a sharp rise in US inflation heightened concerns about aggressive Fed rate hikes.
Shares of shares in today’s session of the Stock Exchange were under strong pressure, recording large losses, with the market falling to the level of 820 points.

The fall in stock prices took place with increased turnover, while the total market capitalization decreased by 2.5 billion euros compared to Friday.
The General Price Index closed at 822.84 points, recording losses of 4.60%. Intra-conference recorded a lower price at 818.56 points (-5.10%)
The value of the transactions amounts to 116.52 million euros, while 42,097,767 shares were traded.
The large-cap index declined by 4.69%, while the mid-cap index declined by 4.75%.
Losses were recorded by all the shares of high capitalization and the biggest drop was recorded by the shares of Mytilineos (-7.40%), Ethniki (-7.15%), OTE (-6.98%), Piraeus (-6 , 80%), Quest Holdings (-6.25%), Alpha Bank (-5.94%), Eurobank (-5.88%), Saranti (-5.88%), Lamda Development (-5.53%) and PPC (-5.32%).
All sub-indices closed lower, while the largest losses were recorded by the indices of Health (-7.09%), Telecommunications (-6.97%), Technology (-6.90%) and Banks (-6 , 34%).
Alpha Bank and Eurobank presented the largest volume of transactions, circulating 13,503,314 and 5,880,598 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by OTE with 16.376 million euros and Ethniki with 13.369 million euros.
Only 10 stocks moved higher, 117 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Bitros Holdings + 18.33% and Mermeren + 3.92%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Vioter -13.79% and Epilektos -11.73%.
