José Roberto Stringasci, president of the ANTB truck drivers association, who started a caravan in the south of the country last month to protest against the surge in diesel, says he is going to the Northeast in the coming weeks to criticize the government’s strategies for the problem of fired at the bombs, which reaches the category.
“We started in Paraná, in Curitiba, went to Itajaí and Navegantes, in Santa Catarina, then to Rio Grande do Sul. We arrived in Cubatão, in São Paulo, and then we’re going to the Northeast. passes”, he says.
According to Stringasci, this is not an attempt to strike. It is one more effort to publicize the protests of the category against the readjustments and the fuel price policy.
He raised the tone again this Friday (17), in the face of the new increase of 5.2% in gasoline and 14.2% in diesel, announced by Petrobras.
“The government will find excuses and palliatives because it doesn’t want to touch the focus of the problem, which is the price of import parity of fuels. It can zero all taxes, but in two months the prices will be the same”, says Stringasci.
