Panel SA: Conar recommends change in fast-food sandwiches with the aroma of picanha and prime rib

After the repercussion of the case of sandwiches without picanha at McDonald’s and without ribs at Burger King, Conar (National Council for Advertising Self-Regulation) recommended a change in the campaigns of the two networks.

In practice, advertisements are no longer being broadcast, but the formalization consolidates the outcome and serves as an example for future similar problems.

A little over a month ago, the two fast-food giants were involved in a controversy over false advertising over the recipe for their flavored sandwiches and confirmed that the snacks did not have the meat they referred to.

In their defenses, the companies claim that the ads made it clear that the products only had the scent of the ingredients.
