Caixa president ignores harassment allegations and participates in an event with his wife

by

The president of Caixa Econômica Federal, Pedro Guimarães, ignored the allegations of sexual harassment and took his wife to a closed event on the Safra Plan this Wednesday (29).

At the opening, Guimarães thanked the presence of his wife, Manuella Pinheiro Guimarães, mentioned his children and said he had a life guided by ethics.

“I thank my wife, in a very clear way. It’s been 20 years together, two children, and a whole life guided by ethics”, he said.

At the end of the speech, the president of Caixa raised his badge to the audience and said: “My badge”.

After Guimarães participated, the master of ceremonies thanked his wife for coming. Manuella Pinheiro Guimarães is the daughter of the contractor Léo Pinheiro, from the former OAS.

The allegations of harassment against the president of the bank were revealed this Tuesday (28) by the Metrópoles portal, which reports the existence of an investigation by the Federal Public Ministry.

After the case came to light, Caixa canceled the press conference that was scheduled for this Wednesday about Crop Year 2022/23, with the presence of the president.

The ceremony was closed to bank employees. THE Sheet had access to the broadcast of the event over the Internet.

A bank employee told Folha that the Caixa president’s harassment took place in front of everyone, inside and outside the institution.

The woman, who asked to have her name withheld for fear of retaliation, says she was shocked after Guimarães pulled her by the neck and said he “was really excited” for her.

“Then, at another time, he already passed his hand around my waist and lowered it, but I left before it got worse,” he said in a statement to Sheet.
