Panel SA: Entrepreneurs see crisis at Caixa as a blow to Bolsonaro as Lula approaches the private sector

by

The fall of Pedro Guimarães from the presidency of Caixa amid accusations of sexual harassment was seen by big businessmen as a worrying blow for Bolsonaro in a delicate period of his government.

The assessment is that it comes at a time when Bolsonaro finds himself stuck in polls and pressured by allegations of corruption at the MEC, inflation, high interest rates, interference in Petrobras, charges in the environmental area and a cloud full of crises to get around.

Meanwhile, the cloud that surrounds Lula has a different atmosphere at the moment, according to the observation of a great businessman. In other words, the episodes of crisis that have accompanied Bolsonaro in recent weeks coincide with the PT’s moment in an agenda of approximation to the private sector and with dinners and conversations about proposals and governability.

The crises in the Bolsonarista field, assesses a top executive, are delaying the expected clash, on the one hand, Bolsonaro accusing PT governments of corruption, while trying to defend himself against the economic failure that the country has reached on the eve of the election.

The circumstances that overthrew Pedro Guimarães, with the exposition of women’s reports, are also seen as a blow to the conservative Bolsonarist discourse in defense of the family.
