The digital card will be, according to the Ministry of Labor, the big weapon against undeclared or undeclared work.

Premiere today for the digital work card in banks and supermarkets with more than 250 employees. It is estimated that at this initial stage the measure concerns 121,000 employees and 53 companies.
The digital work card is available for all types of mobiles (Android and iOS) through the my ergani app, but it can also be in physical form as is already the case in many companies that record working hours. The digital card is connected to the Ergani Card Scanner application provided by the companies and which reads the QR code generated by the card.
As of today, employees in banks and supermarkets, upon entering the workplace, will “scan” the personal code in Ergani CardScanner QR code of their digital card stating the beginning of their work. Respectively, a new scan will be done when leaving the workplace. This will automatically record the working hours and overtime of employees and the data will be “uploaded” to INSTRUMENTS II and so the control mechanisms of the Ministry of Labor will have the full picture. However, the employees will also have a complete picture, since through my ergani app they will see how much they worked every day.
However, apart from the working hours, the digital card will reflect all the data related to the “working” identity of the employee, such as the salary and all forms of leave he received and the history of his employers.
The digital card will be according to the Ministry of Labor the big gun against undeclared work. Employees who are at work while their departure has been announced or their arrival has not been announced will be able to be identified immediately and easily by the auditors (provided of course that audits are carried out). Employees will even be able to use what the card records to prove their employment in the courts and will have the right to issue a payment order based on the data of the digital work card, after proving their real time of employment.
After supermarkets and banks the measure will be extended to insurance companies and industry with the aim of in the summer of 2023 to be applied both in the tourism and catering sectors, and at a later stage in every business in the country without exceptions.
