Three weeks after announcing its intention to buy part of Grupo Rão, Blue Tech Solutions EQI announced to its shareholders that it closed a new memorandum of understanding, now to acquire a stake in Colégio Lapa, in São Paulo.
Until August of last year, Blue Tech was still known as Indústrias JB Duarte. In early June 2022, the company entered into a contract with Duomo Capital Partners to advise on the acquisition of equity interests.
The memorandum of understanding with Lapa Sistema de Ensino was presented to shareholders on Friday (1st). Yuri Maciel Dias da Silva, director of investor relations, says in the statement that Colégio Lapa is a traditional educational institution that has already trained 54,000 students in professional technical courses and has a strong presence in distance education.
On June 7, Blue Tech had already notified the memorandum of understanding, known in the market by the acronym MOU, for the acquisition of shares in Grupo Rão, a chain of food franchises. According to the document sent to the CVM (Securities Commission) by Blue Tech Solutions, Rão ended 2021 with revenues of R$ 150 million and is the largest delivery group in Brazil.
