Twitter is down for thousands of users around the world on Thursday, according to website Downdetector, which records complaints from online services. The reason for the fall is not yet known.
There have been more than 27,000 incidents of people reporting problems with Twitter in the United States, according to Downdetector. In Brazil, there was a peak of 2,735 complaints at 9:06 am.
Users in other countries, including the UK, Mexico and Italy, have also reported that the social network is not working.
Sought by Reuters, Twitter has not commented so far.
