Justice releases R$ 1.54 billion to pay INSS retirees’ shares; see who gets

The CJF (Council of Federal Justice) released almost R$ 1.9 billion to TRFs (Federal Regional Courts) for the payment of RPVs (Small Value Requests) assessed in June 2022.

Of this total, R$ 1.54 billion will be allocated to 99,395 beneficiaries who won 77,360 processes for granting or reviewing pensions, sickness benefits, pensions and assistance benefits. The money will be in the account in the next month. The exact date for releasing the money into the bank account depends on each court’s schedule.

RPVs are delayed by up to 60 minimum wages (R$72,720 this year) paid in lawsuits filed in the Federal Special Court. The deposits of the amounts take place within two months after the judge’s payment order, when the process comes to an end, without any possibility of appeal by the INSS.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I WILL RECEIVE INSS RPVS?

The consultation of the arrears is made by the insured or his lawyer. Those who have a defender can check with the professional himself what the payment forecast is. In general, actions of up to 60 minimum wages do not need a lawyer to be proposed.

The insured can check their process on the website of the court of the region where they are served. In São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, the consultation is done on the website www.trf3.jus.br. It is possible to find out information by case number, by the lawyer’s OAB (Brazilian Bar Association) number or by the insured person’s CPF.

When making the query, it is necessary to observe the dates. In July and August, RPVs whose “TRF protocol date” is any day of June 2022 are paid. After the money is released, “Total payment to the court” will appear. The amount will fall into the account opened by the court at Banco do Brasil or Caixa Econômica Federal.
