The granting, for the first time, of a housing allowance to the trainees of the public Vocational Training Institutes (VET) of Ministry of Tourismprovides for an MOU that has already been signed.
The applications of the eligible trainee and the eligible parent can be submitted from today, while, the application deadline is August 30, 2022deadline for submission of tax returns.
It is recalled that the annual housing allowance is already granted to the students of the Higher Schools of Tourism Education (ASTE) and now its beneficiaries are being expanded with the addition of the trainees of the IEK of the Ministry of Tourism.
The achievement of the granting of the housing allowance to the trainees of the IEKs of the Ministry of Tourism constitutes an important step in the attraction of candidate trainees and is indicative of the effort made by the Ministry of Tourism to improve the competitiveness of the IEKs of Tourism Education under the competence of the Ministry of Tourism
Applications “of eligible trainees and eligible parents” can be made from today until August 30, 2022, the deadline for submitting tax returns.
The Deputy Minister of Tourism responsible for Tourism Education, Sofia Zaharaki, said: “Today we are moving forward with the implementation of the Prime Minister’s announcement to provide a housing allowance to the students of all the IEKs in the country, adding to the beneficiaries also the students of the IEK Tourism. This government places special emphasis in upgrading tourism education and takes practical steps to improve student care and upgrade the study conditions of those studying in the professional schools of the Ministry of Tourism.”
