The union centrals meet this Thursday (28), at UGT’s headquarters, to determine the group’s adhesion to the “Letter to Brazilians and Brazilians in Defense of the Democratic State of Law”.
In practice, the meeting at the central forum will be the official support for the document, which has already been individually defined among the entities in recent days. The expectation is that the decision to participate in street demonstrations will also emerge from the meeting.
In addition to UGT, CUT, Força Sindical, CSB (Central of Brazilian Trade Unions), CTB (Central of Workers of Brazil) and Nova Central will be present.
After new attacks by Bolsonaro on the polls, entities and civil society have gathered signatures on manifestos in favor of democracy. One of them, entitled “In Defense of Democracy and Justice”, is endorsed by Fiesp and Febraban.
