The Minister of Development noted that this project was not done in a hurry, but is the result of the Prime Minister’s hard work
“If the rate of investment continues as it is until the end of the year, then 2022 will have taken place all time record in our country,” the Minister of Development and Investments told SKAI 100.3 Adonis Georgiades.
Referring to the recent visit of the prince of Saudi Arabia to our country, and his statement on the creation of a cable that will connect the two countries for the transmission of electricity to Greece, Mr. Georgiadis explained that the large transmission cable will be ready in about four years , as the contract takes one year and the project three years.
He even noted that this work “will change class” Greece, which will be able to resell the electricity. Our aim – he added – is to make Greece “the Marseille of the South-Eastern Mediterranean”.

It is noted that based on the Memorandum of Cooperation, the electricity supply networks of the two countries will be interconnected and then Greece will become a “gateway” for both the countries of the European South and the West.
