The platform for the second fuel subsidy opens tomorrow Monday due to punctuality. The program Fuel Pass 2concerns more beneficiaries, who will receive a larger amount compared to Fuel Pass 1, for the months July, August and September.

The platform will gradually open for the beneficiaries, depending on the number with which their VAT number ends. The deadline for submitting applications is until August 29 and the amount will be cleared within three working days from the date the request was submitted.

For those who choose to use a digital debit card, the amount of the aid is increased by 15 euros, compared to 5 euros that applied under the previous regime.

For the beneficiaries who will use the immaterial digital card on their mobile phone, the amounts will be:

-100 euros for a car on the islands
-80 euros for a car in the rest of the country
-70 euros for motorcycles on the islands
-60 euros for motorcycles in the rest of the country

For the beneficiaries who request the money to be deposited into a bank account, the amounts will be:

-85 euros for a car on the islands
-65 euros for a car in the rest of the country
-55 euros for motorcycles on the islands
-45 euros for motorcycles in the rest of the country

The criteria for Fuel Pass 2

In order to receive the fuel subsidy, beneficiaries must meet specific criteria and conditions:

1) The fuel subsidy, which covers the months of July, August and September, is granted only to natural persons, including freelancers who are tax residents of Greece and own a car or motorcycle.

2) Income criterion: The individual income based on this year’s tax return cannot exceed 30,000 euros. This amount is increased by 3,000 euros for each additional member of the household (spouse/cohabiting partner and dependent children).

3) Beneficiaries should have already submitted their tax return, since 2021 incomes are taken into account.

Ways of crediting the financial aid

1) The financial support is credited by the anonymous company of the Hellenic State “Socionia tis Informatias Monoprosopi SA”. or

2) To a bank account of his choice.

Step by step the beneficiaries’ application process

The entry of the natural person-beneficiary to the special application, which is accessible through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov. gr-ΕΣΤ), is carried out after authentication using the credentials of the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems (taxisnet ), in accordance with article 24 of Law 4727/2020 (A’ 184).

This action is implemented as a service in the infrastructure of vouchers.gov.gr and will reuse the TAXISnet login services (OAuth 2.0 client) of the existing services of the FuelPass Program, in accordance with the under data 2653/21.4.2022 (B’ 2030) joint decision of the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investments, State and Digital Governance.

The applicant completes and updates their contact information and, in particular, their email address and mobile phone number.

The amounts for each category

Details of the amounts for the beneficiaries:

– One hundred (100) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the Regions of the North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Islands Regional Unit of the Attica Region, in the Sporades Regional Unit of Region of Thessaly, in the Thassos Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region, on the island of Samothraki of the Evros Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region and on the island of Ammouliani of the Halkidiki Regional Unit of the Central Macedonia Region. The above amount is set at eighty-five (85) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.

-Eighty (80) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece. The above amount is set at sixty-five (65) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.
Seventy (70) euros with the use of a digital debit card for eligible owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with residence in the Regions of the North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, in the Regional Unit of Sporades of the Region of Thessaly, in Thassos Regional Unit of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, on the island of Samothraki of the Regional Unit of Evros of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and on the island of Ammouliani of the Regional Unit of Halkidiki of the Region of Central Macedonia.

-The above amount is set at fifty-five (55) euros, if the beneficiary chooses a bank account deposit.
Sixty (60) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece.

-The above amount is set at forty-five (45) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.
Each vehicle or motorcycle-moped can be declared by a single natural person, who has full ownership or co-ownership of the vehicle and the motorcycle-moped or is a lessee under a leasing contract.

Each natural person can only declare one vehicle or motorcycle – moped. A necessary condition is that the vehicle, motorcycle – moped is in traffic, that it is insured and that no traffic fees are due for it.
