Panel SA: Centrals plan to follow pro-democracy roadmap and prepare new acts

by

Leader of the Popular Movements Center (CMP) and one of the speakers at the pro-democracy event held at the USP Law School this Thursday (11), Raimundo Bonfim said that the trade union centrals will maintain the defense of the electoral system in the priorities of the manifestations.

The idea, at first, is to continue in the defense of the democratic process, without party flags and candidates, according to him.

“We have two processes in progress: an electoral process, which follows its normal course, and we have these mobilizations because of the advance of authoritarianism. Today’s demonstrations have nothing to do with the electoral issue. “, said Bonfim.

According to him, the centrals do not expect to move large crowds or measure strength against the September 7 acts called by Bolsonaro. The intention is to organize a new agenda for the defense of the elections on September 10th.
