Panel SA: Businessman was unhappy to say on WhatsApp that he would prefer a coup, says owner of Havan

by

One of the targets of last week’s Federal Police operation on Bolsonaro businessmen in a Whatsapp group, Havan’s owner, Luciano Hang, says he was a victim of censorship.

He claims that he rarely manifests himself in the group and only wrote a message about the possibility of a re-election of Bolsonaro and two elections of former minister Tarcísio de Freitas, without any relation to a coup, but his name was involved because he was very well known.

According to the report by the Metrópoles portal, which revealed the content of the conversations exchanged in the group, José Koury, owner of Barra World Shopping, wrote that he would prefer a coup to the PT’s return. Luciano Hang says he doesn’t agree with Koury’s comment.

“He was unfortunate in the sentence. He could have said that he would prefer a military government over the PT government. And he wouldn’t change a thing. I would prefer Brusque champion than Flamengo champion of Brazil. Everyone has their opinion. restrict people from having an opinion and thinking”, says the businessman.

O Mr. have you treated the case of Tuesday’s Federal Police operation as censorship?I have placed [nas redes sociais] Hashtag Censorship No. We are forty days away from the elections. We want a democratic election. Democracy is giving space to all candidates. What they’re doing today is crimping one side. They’re shutting me up. They want to shut me up. Inhibiting my social networks, they shut me up.

Wow, 12 million fans on my social media. Someone told me today that our city was used to waking up and seeing messages. It’s all sad. People don’t even look at Instagram anymore. I spoke to millions of people every week.

Mr. still in some whatsapp groups? How are they?I will have to do it again. They took my cell phone. The problem is that my contacts folder was there. Now to activate my contacts I will lose. It got difficult. shut me up. I’m going to Barretos to participate [de evento] with President Bolsonaro. I’m going to visit the Cancer Hospital, we make donations there. And then I’m going to participate, in the Barretos rodeo, with the president.

Mr. already had many WhatsApp groups and then reduced that number. Now do you intend to speak again through WhatsApp?But do you think it’s cool to curtail the thought of social media? This is absurd. It is unacceptable. Every Brazilian can have a WhatsApp group. And in the groups, people weave their comments, make their opinions.

Were the opinions being held there in favor of a coup d’état?Nobody was defending any opinion. It was an eclectic group of all stripes. So much so that it was debated. 250 businessmen start to discuss politics, economy, society. Giving opinions and expressing what you think is not a crime. It’s not a sin.

One of them says he would prefer a coup to the return of the PT. Mr. do you agree with this opinion? Not. Of course. I recorded two audios in which Guilherme Amado [jornalista autor da reportagem que revelou as conversas no grupo de WhatsApp] says: Luciano, you just said that it’s four more years of Bolsonaro, eight more years of Tarcísio and clean up this vagabondage.

The vagrancy I say is against everything I fight. Against bureaucracy, against the difficulties of economic liberalism, of making the changes we want.

The difficulty we have today in running a country is this bureaucratic machine that we have. And many of these politicians rooted in the Republic for 200 years. We have to clean this up, improve the working environment. That’s what I fight for.

Now, I’ll say one thing: the plan backfired. The people are outraged. Everyone is on our side, outraged by what happened. The people do not accept to see these atrocities happen against freedom of thought, against freedom of expression.

The press has to keep up. The institutions. Where is the OAB? Where is Congress? Where are the people who signed the letter for democracy? I haven’t seen any of those say it’s wrong. Join a yo-yo WhatsApp group? There’s a group for fishing, bitching, church, family. It has all kinds of groups.

About that sentence by José Koury [dono do Barra World Shopping] that he would prefer a coup over the PT, Mr. do you agree with that?He was unfortunate in the sentence. He could have said that he would prefer a military government over the PT government. And it wouldn’t change a thing. I would prefer Brusque champion than Flamengo champion of Brazil. Everyone has their opinion. It cannot deprive people of having opinions and thoughts. You have to defend it.

Entering my house and the houses of the other seven entrepreneurs in the morning because we put messages on WhatsApp? This is an affront against democracy and against freedom of thought and opinion. There is no democracy when only one side can speak.

Now, just because I am a supporter of President Bolsonaro, does Luciano shut up? They end all Luciano’s media. It’s not democracy. We are living in a totalitarian state. A state of exception. It’s an absurd.
