The construction industry accelerated job creation again in July, according to a report by Sinduscon-SP based on data from Caged.
It ended the month with 32,082 new jobs, up 1.29% compared to June.
Despite the result, it projects a slowdown in the second half of the year, driven by high interest rates and a drop in the income of Brazilian families.
In the accumulated result for the year, civil construction employed 216 thousand workers, an expansion of 9.38% in comparison with the registration of employees hired at the end of last year.
