AADE: No charge for submitting declarations of legal entities after August 30

by

A technical problem occurred in the implementation of the income tax returns of legal persons and legal entities for the year 2021

The Ministry of Finance and the AADE announce that, due to a technical failure that has occurred since yesterday, 29/8/2022, in the application of the income tax returns of legal persons and legal entities for the year 2021, as soon as the operation of the application is restored, it will be possible to submit income tax returns of legal persons and payment of the tax or its first two installments, without the imposition of late payment penalties and interest.

This possibility will be given by extending the deadline for a period of time equal to the duration of the technical failure.

The above option concerns legal entities:

  • who to date have not submitted a 2021 corporate income tax return,
  • who will submit an amending declaration of corporate income tax for the year 2021, within the time to be determined by the relevant joint decision of the Ministry of Finance and AADE, for the tax resulting from these declarations.

It is pointed out that, until the appearance of the technical failure, 265,140 declarations had been submitted to the application of the corporate income tax returns, almost 3,000 more than the corresponding penultimate day for the timely submission of corporate tax returns for the 2020 tax year.
