Panel SA: Health sector has low expectations about nursing stoppage this Wednesday

by

The health sector has low expectations regarding the stoppage of nursing professionals scheduled for this Wednesday (14) in Rio de Janeiro. In the opinion of Marcos Ottoni, legal director of CNSaúde (an entity that brings together companies in the sector), the act can be considered abusive.

“It has no legal basis because there is no breach of any legislation. The law is suspended. That’s all,” he says.

He says that hospitals are awaiting the judgment of the STF, which has so far recorded a score of five to three in favor of suspending the national nursing floor.

Last week, SindEnfRJ (Nurses Union of Rio de Janeiro) announced that it is preparing a strike for Wednesday, which will also be led by SatemRJ (Nursing Assistants and Technicians Union). The act should last 24 hours, at first, with 30% working and 70% in act at the door of the Quinta D’Or Hospital.
