Elon Musk says ‘Burned Hair’ perfumes sold out in a week

by

Billionaire Elon Musk, founder of Tesla, stated on social network that the perfumes Burnt Hair (burnt hair) launched by him last week were sold out.

30,000 red bottles of the product were put up for sale, at a price of US$ 100 (R$ 534,000). In the announcement of the new product, he had said that he would use the proceeds to buy Twitter, for which he offered US$ 44 billion (R$ 235 billion), in a transaction with many ups and downs and legal discussions.

“Please buy my perfume so I can buy Twitter,” he joked on the platform.

Musk is expected to complete the Twitter purchase by the end of the month. If he does not complete the acquisition, a trial for breach of contract is expected to resume in November after a lawsuit initiated by the social network.

On Tuesday night (18) the founder of Tesla and SpaceX had said that there were only 1,300 bottles left of the 30,000 launched. Hours later he added that the perfumes had run out.

“With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable — why have I fought this for so long?” he joked on Twitter last week.

The richest man in the world’s Twitter bio now describes him as a “perfume salesman” and includes a link to the product sale page of his startup The Boring Company (the boring company).
