Google searches for the subject of minimum wage have jumped in the last week. The advance was 40% in the search for words compared to the previous seven days.
The move took place after the news, revealed by Sheetthat the Ministry of Economy of Paulo Guedes plans to stop correcting the minimum wage and pension for past inflation.
One of the measures would be the de-indexation of the minimum wage and social security benefits. Today, the minimum wage is corrected by the INPC (National Consumer Price Index) of the previous year, which guarantees the replacement of the loss caused by the increase in prices observed among families with an income of up to five minimum wages.
According to Google Trends data, the subject reached the peak of interest of the last seven days on Thursday (20). After a slight drop, the search appears stable on the chart generated by the platform.
