What was shown by a survey of more than 250 companies throughout Greece, conducted by SEV as part of the European program SEVSOCDIAL for teleworking.
More than 55% of work can be done remotely, more than 7 out of 10 companies already implement a hybrid telecommuting model, and more than 60% believe that telecommuting has definitely had a positive/somewhat positive impact on productivity.
These result from a survey of more than 250 companies throughout Greece, conducted by SEV as part of the European program SEVSOCDIAL for teleworking.
The program focuses on 3 major challenges concerning: a) the adaptation of the national social dialogue (procedures, priority of issues, methodology) to the new data created by teleworking, b) the provision of support to businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones, for the successful transition to a new, hybrid model of work organization and c) adapting the existing institutional framework to the specific requirements arising from teleworking.
In addition, it is planned to create a practical Guide for telework addressed to businesses and the executives involved, with the aim of capturing all the issues that need to be taken into account for the effective implementation of telework.
The research findings, as well as several other teleworking topics, will be the subject of the project’s launch conference scheduled for December 1. Upon completion of the project, the practical guide to telework will be made available publicly and free of charge to all interested parties.
