From tomorrow, Saturday, November 6, until December 31, 2021, the platform for the declaration of undeclared square meters reopens (https://tetragonika.govapp.gr/). Citizens now have a second chance to declare the real surface of their properties and in this way, to avoid the payment of large surcharges, underlines in a statement, the president of the Central Union of Greek Municipalities (KEDE), Dimitris Papastergiou.
The application was developed by KEDE, with the cooperation and support of the Ministries of Digital Governance and Interior, as well as AADE, HEDNO and GSPS.
According to the relevant announcement of KEDE, in the first period that the specific platform was put into operation, more than 2.6 million citizens used the opportunity to use it and declare 60 million additional square meters. Those who took advantage of this opportunity by declaring the actual area of their property, were saved from fees and fines, amounting to about 1.5 billion euros, “while with the declarations of additional square meters, the Municipalities ensure on an annual basis additional revenue, which will be used either in order to improve the services they provide to their citizens, or to reduce the municipal fees, as has already been done in many Municipalities “, points out KEDE.
