The PRF (Federal Highway Police) said on Tuesday night (22) that federal highways are free of interdictions and blockades, after five days of anti-democratic protests contesting the election result.

The last blockade, in Sapezal (MT), was demobilized by the PRF this Tuesday. The state led the number of protests in the country, with 18 blockades, and recorded an escalation of violence on the BR-163 since last Friday (18), with Bolsonarists using weapons and dynamites to try to knock down bridges and set fire to trucks. As of Tuesday afternoon, 11 people had been arrested.

The acts in Mato Grosso involved an attack on a user service station on the Rota Oeste, on BR 163, in the Lucas do Rio Verde region. At the scene, a tow truck and an ambulance were set on fire. Those involved used ninja weapons and burrows, as well as gasoline cans.

An employee of the Via Brasil concessionaire, which manages the stretch of BR 163 between Sinop (MT) and Miritituba (PA), was surrendered and his car was used to block the highway on Monday.

At least 50 members of the movement have been identified and must answer for their participation in criminal acts, according to the police.

Rondonia and Paraná roads also recorded interdictions until this Tuesday.

The anti-democratic acts on highways began on October 30, after the election of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) to the Presidency. The PRF even completely demobilized the blockades at the beginning of the month, but the protests gained strength again last Thursday (17).

According to the police, more than 1,200 demonstrations have been broken up since the end of the elections.

On November 12, the Minister of the STF (Federal Supreme Court) Alexandre de Moraes ordered the blocking of bank accounts linked to 43 people and companies suspected of involvement with the acts.

On the morning of last Sunday (20), the PRF and the PF (Federal Police) served three search and seizure warrants and one preventive arrest warrant in the city of Dourados, in Mato Grosso do Sul. The measure is part of an inquiry that investigates the blockages.
