Mônica Bergamo: Haddad at the Farm has the support of 60% of Lula’s voters, says Genial/Quaest

by

The possibility of ex-mayor Fernando Haddad (PT) becoming finance minister is applauded by the vast majority of voters for president-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). A Genial/Quaest survey shows that 60% of them say they consider the PT member a good name to head the portfolio, against 26% who disagree. Another 14% said they did not know or did not respond.

Haddad also finds high approval among those who earn up to two minimum wages (46%) and who live in the Northeast (42%), constituency groups that supported Lula’s election in this year’s election.

The electorate of Jair Bolsonaro (PL), however, causes the rejection of Fernando Haddad to rise. In all, 80% of those who voted for the current President of the Republic are against the appointment of the former mayor to the Treasury, while 12% support him and 8% say they do not know or did not respond.

Among those who voted blank or null or did not appear in the second round of the elections, 53% disapprove of Haddad’s name, 19% say he would be a good minister and 28% do not know or did not answer.

In the average of the electorate, the former mayor of São Paulo has his name disapproved by 49% of voters and approved by 36%, while 14% claim not to know or did not answer the survey question.

Entitled “The Brazil we want”, the Genial/Quaest survey was carried out between the 3rd and 6th of December and heard 2,005 people. Your data will be released this Thursday (8).

Among voters who earn more than five minimum wages, in turn, the PT candidate has 59% rejection and 28% approval. Another 13% did not respond when asked.
