Energy Solidarity Line (15902)
The Ministry of Environment and Energy, in the context of its actions to address energy poverty, will launch next week an information and support hotline that will operate Monday to Friday from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm.
The purpose of the line is to support vulnerable households in case they run the risk of power outages or power outages due to inability to repay their debts to electricity providers. In these cases, there will be direct communication with the competent committees in each Municipality and HEDNO in order to immediately examine the reconnection requests. The Ministry of Environment and Energy will cover the cost of reconnection for citizens who will receive approval for their requests. The budget for this emergency support will amount to € 40 million and will be provided by the Energy Transition Fund.
Measures for farmers
The Government takes special care to support the farmers, with an additional subsidy on all agricultural tariffs for the months of August, September, October, November and December. The grant will cover 80% of the adjustment clause imposed, minus the rebates and grants that have already been awarded. The above discount will include tobacco dryers upon request to the relevant supplier. The discount will be granted to the beneficiaries with a credit account issued by PPC in the coming days. The total amount of the additional subsidy to farmers will amount to 50 million euros.
