Panel SA: Dotz partners with Totvs to expand presence in food retail

by

Dotz hopes to expand its presence in food retail, especially in supermarkets, based on a closed partnership with the technology company Totvs. With the agreement, retailers that use the Totvs system in the management of their businesses are already able to adopt the loyalty program within the same interface.

Roberto Chade, CEO of Dotz, says this will make joining cheaper as it will eliminate additional implementation costs. “Our goal is to have Dotz in more and more places and food retail is a very important segment for us”, says Chad.

By adopting the points program, the retailer now has access to data provided by consumers who use them. With this, he knows the dates, frequencies and even the most consumed product categories and by which groups.

In the evaluation of the CEO of Dotz, this is the great advantage for the retailer, who gains a tool to create promotions and incentives for consumption. “It’s a promotional lever.” On the consumer side, the advantage is having access to these promotions and being able to exchange the score for money. There are currently 50 million registered on the platform.

In 2021, Ant Group, from Chinese Alibaba, bought 5% of the Brazilian company, bringing knowledge in technology and financial services to the loyalty company. Since then, Dotz has expanded its scope of action, inaugurating a superapp with a digital account and granting loans.
