Gas prices in Europe have almost halved compared to the beginning of December.

Today they amount to around 77 euros per megawatt hour from 149 on December 7th and from 210 euros at the end of September

The large drop in the price of natural gas is due to the agreement at the meeting of the EU energy ministers to impose a ceiling on gas and also to the good weather conditions in Europe.

Contributing to the fall are the reserves accumulated by European countries and Russia’s intention to send gas to Europe again through the Yamal pipeline.
