After giving up going to Lula’s inauguration because he was disappointed with the treatment received in the composition of the ministries, the president of Força Sindical, Miguel Torres, attended the inauguration ceremony of Luiz Marinho in the Ministry of Labor this Tuesday (3).

He said he represents a union institution that is related to the folder and that life goes on. “I turned the page. What we wanted to show was dissatisfaction. We were the main foundation of the broad front”, said Torres.

As anticipated by the Panel column, the union leader had a meeting with Gleisi Hoffmann, president of the PT, last week, in which he says he exposed his indignation with the discredit with which Força Sindical and Solidariedade, a party originating from the union group, were treated. that had the expectation of space in the Ministry of Social Security.

After this Tuesday’s event, Torres said he considered the new minister’s speeches positive. “It was a speech within what we expected in terms of strengthening tripartism. The collective has to be a priority. I don’t know if the business community liked it”, he said.

In his speech, Marinho defended strong unions with financing capacity. He also spoke of legislation that modernizes the union system and permanent appreciation of the minimum wage.

Torres claims that the center intends to contribute to broadening the debate. “The proposal is to carry out a reform of the widely discussed union structure to make the unions stronger based on representation. This is the idea that we are going to work on. A debate that will come is the financing issue. of union tax. What we defend is the negotiation rate”, affirms the president of Força.
