After the approval of the Budget for the year 2022, which favored the federal police with an adjustment, the Federal Revenue’s tax auditors began a coordinated movement to hand over leadership positions, which affects some of the main units in the country.
Sindifisco (National Union of Tax Auditors for Revenue) estimates that at least 500 professionals have already given up their commissioned positions in protest. This means that they leave commissioned positions, but continue in their careers, since they are publicly-held professionals.
The union already has confirmation that 324 auditors from the Revenue have given up their commissioned positions. The number is certainly higher, argues the union, as it has not yet been possible to consolidate all the files that have already arrived from the regional units. These professionals work in at least five tax regions of the country, which include the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, EspÃrito Santo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, Alagoas and ParaÃba.
The category estimates that the greatest impact of the mobilization will occur in the customs sector. Only the 8th region, in the state of São Paulo, for example, is responsible for 40% of the country’s revenue, in addition to concentrating the largest airports in the country and the Port of Santos, the main gateway for imported products.
Revenue professionals also claim that the government of President Jair Bolsonaro has achieved a great feat, by managing to unite historical adversaries within the Internal Revenue Service, tax auditors and tax analysts against it.
The two categories released a note on Tuesday night (22), in which they claim that there was a 2016 agreement that provided for the institution of bonuses for performance and productivity. However, those bonuses, they claim, have been frozen since then.
“We arrived at the vote on the 2022 budget law humiliated by negligence, demeaned when we found that even ordinary resources from the Federal Revenue Service, necessary for the continuity of the activities of the collection machine, are brought to the readjustment of categories of other bodies, despite there being, within of the Ministry of Economy, a previous agreement to be honored”, stated the joint note from Sindifisco and Sindireceita.
This Tuesday (21), the National Congress approved the 2022 budget, after a major controversy involving transfers to the electoral fund and the readjustment for police officers, who are one of the main bases of support for President Jair Bolsonaro in society.
The budget piece allocates BRL 4.9 billion to the so-called fundão, after great articulation between opposition parties and those of President Bolsonaro’s base, such as the president’s party, the PL.
In addition, under pressure from the Planalto Palace, contrary to the orientation of the economy —Minister Paulo Guedes is on vacation— the R$ 1.7 billion reserve for police adjustment was included in the opinion of the rapporteur Hugo Leal (PSD-RJ). federal agencies.
