Scheduled for this Monday (16th) at Fiesp, the extraordinary general meeting that was convened to hear the complaints of unions dissatisfied with the management of Josué Gomes da Silva in charge of the entity may end up with a request to dismiss him, but also with a great compromise.
The estimate is from some of the businessmen themselves who have been pressing against Josué, that is, the willingness to try to overthrow him from the post is not a consensus yet.
According to one of them, everything will depend on Josué’s gestures to regain the group’s trust, listen to the unions’ demands and welcome them to meetings at the entity, removing the feeling that they are excluded from the debates.
This Monday, on the same day as the meeting, Josué invited the vice-president and Minister of Industry, Geraldo Alckmin, to lunch at Fiesp. The gesture was interpreted as a display of political power that displeased the dissatisfied unions, as they saw an attempt to take the focus away from the institution’s internal agenda.
It was in the middle of last year that the opposition reaction began to surface, after Fiesp, under Josué, came out in defense of democracy when former president Jair Bolsonaro placed electronic voting machines under suspicion.
