Panel SA: Travel company hires extra buses to meet demand on post-vaccination Christmas

by

Buser, a road trip startup, says it has hired 400 extra buses and has expanded the service to around 100 new cities to meet the demand this year-end post-vaccination. According to the company, the volume of reservations for the Christmas and New Year holidays more than doubled compared to 2020, when the immunizing agent had not yet arrived.

The expectation is to transport 380 thousand people between this Thursday (23) and 2 January. Buser says it intends to exceed 60,000 travelers and surpass its current record of passengers flown in a single day, which is 45,000, recorded on the November 15 holiday, according to the company.

The routes between capitals have been the most sought after, mainly between Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. For the beach, Cabo Frio, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, is the destination with the most reservations, while for the interior, the cities of São José do Rio Preto, Ribeirão Preto and Araçatuba, in addition to Governador Valadares, in Minas Gerais, stand out.
