Panel SA: Supporters of Josué contest dismissal at Fiesp

by

Supporters of Josué Gomes da Silva at Fiesp contest the vote that decided to remove him from his post this Monday (16). They claim that it has no legal validity because it was made after the end of the assembly and that it is an attempt by opponents to appear to lack command in the entity to weaken Josué.

The votes were given after the extraordinary general meeting called to address the complaints of unions dissatisfied with the current management. For opponents, however, it was a second assembly, also official, which had already been announced since the beginning of the first.

Those who attended the meeting say it was troubled. Breaking wood, shame and confusion were some of the adjectives used to describe the meeting between industrial representatives that started at 2:30 pm and dragged on until dusk.

Fiesp has a total of 116 unions, of which 86 signed the request for the plenary session to take place. Among those left out, some say they support Josué, others complain about his management, but disagree with the way the case has been handled and prefer to distance themselves from the turmoil.

Representatives of 47 unions voted for dismissal, 2 abstained and 1 voted against, totaling 50 votes. At the start of the meeting, there were 89 delegates from 80 unions.

Supporters of Josué claim that he had already closed the meeting and left the place when the group of opponents opened the new voting.
