Panel SA: Confusion at Fiesp has new email that points interim in place of Josué

by

In yet another chapter of the confusion at Fiesp, unions at the base of the entity received a new email, this Friday (20), saying that one of the vice-presidents of the entity, Elias Miguel Haddad, took over the interim presidency in place of Josué Gomes da Silva .

The message came from one of Fiesp’s email addresses. According to lawyer Miguel Reale Jr., who represents Josué, the act is illegal.

“There is a reiteration of illicit acts that only demonstrates the desire for power at any cost, bypassing due process based on a second clandestine meeting and giving effect to this meeting without recording the minutes”, says Reale Jr..

The new statement, which bears the name Elias Miguel Haddad, arrives one day after Fiesp released an official message in which it reaffirms Josué as president.

This Friday’s email says that the “act takes place after the decision of the Extraordinary General Assembly, convened by means of a regular public notice at the request of the absolute majority of the Council of Representatives, which, after hearing the defense arguments and rejecting them, decided to dismiss Josué Gomes from office, last Monday (16)”. Josué supporters say the vote is invalid.

This Friday’s email also says that, in the event of dismissal of the president, “the successor will be chosen by the board, within a period of thirty days from the dismissal, between the 1st, 2nd and 3rd vice-presidents and, in their absence, among the other vice-presidents for the fulfillment of the remainder of the mandate, and, in the interregnum, the presidency shall be occupied by the oldest vice-president”.

According to data from Senai, Elias Miguel Haddad was born in 1927 and is 95 years old.

Conflicts at Fiesp, led by a group of unions opposed to Josué, surfaced in the middle of last year, when the president of Fiesp involved the name of the entity in acts in defense of democracy to react to the escalation of former president Bolsonaro against the polls.
