Panel SA: Hiring black professionals jumps 150% in 2021, says recruitment company

The hiring of black and brown professionals, which had already registered an increase of 118% in 2020, took another leap of 150% this year, according to the recruitment company Cia de Talentos.

For Sofia Esteves, founder of the company, the advance reflects a change in the perception of consumers and also of companies, which currently want to be recognized by the “s” of the ESG pillars (best environmental, social and governance practices).

“In the ‘s’ of ESG, diversity strongly enters. It is a market and consumer demand. Or is it [feito] for love or pain,” he says.

After being hired, the next step is to ensure that professionals feel included in the business and have chances to prosper in their careers, reaching higher positions, according to the businesswoman.

“It’s not just hiring to look good in the photo, it’s necessary to prepare managers and the organizational environment to receive and give space for these people to show their potential,” says Esteves.
