The Federal Revenue opens the consultation to the lot of refunds of the fine mesh of the IRPF (Individual Income Tax) from 10 am this Tuesday (24).

The bank credit for 136,565 taxpayers will be carried out on January 31 (Tuesday), in the total amount of R$ 368,017,854.27.

Of the total, R$ 199,291,762.86 refer to the number of taxpayers who have legal priority, of which 3,069 are elderly over 80 years old, 20,624 taxpayers between 60 and 79 years old, 2,349 people with physical or mental disabilities or serious illness and 6,568 taxpayers whose main source of income is teaching. A further 103,955 non-priority taxpayers were included.

To find out if the refund is available, the taxpayer must access the Revenue page on the internet (www.gov.br/receitafederal), click on “My Income Tax” and then on “Consult the Restitution”.

The page presents guidelines and channels for providing the service, allowing a simplified consultation or a complete consultation of the status of the declaration, through the processing extract, accessed in the eCAC. If you identify any pendency, the taxpayer can rectify the statement.

The Revenue also provides an application for tablets and smartphones that makes it possible to directly consult information on the release of IRPF refunds and the registration status of a CPF registration on the agency’s bases.

Refund payment is made to the bank account informed in the income tax return, directly or by indication of a Pix key.

If, for some reason, the credit is not carried out (for example, the account informed has been deactivated), the amounts will be available for redemption for up to one year at Banco do Brasil.

In this case, the citizen can reschedule the credit of amounts through the BB portal, accessing the address https://www.bb.com.br/irpf, or calling the BB Relationship Center through telephones 4004-0001 (capitals) , 0800-729-0001 (other locations) and 0800-729-0088 (special exclusive telephone number for the hearing impaired).

If the taxpayer does not redeem the amount of his refund within one year, he must request it through the e-CAC portal, available on the Federal Revenue website, accessing the “Declarations and Demonstratives” menu, then “My Income Tax ” and clicking on “Request refund not redeemed in network banking”.
