Three new “household baskets” are expected to launch in the coming period, ahead of Easter. According to information, the Ministry of Development and Investments is planning a basket with fasting items due to Lent, then there will be a basket with items related to the Easter table, while it is planned to have a basket for children, as happened during the Christmas holidays .
The Lenten basket is expected to be ready in the last days of February, that is, a few days before Holy Monday, while as we approach Holy Week, it will also include products related to the festive table and will evolve into an Easter basket.
In the meantime, as the Minister of Development and Investments Adonis Georgiadis recently stated, the initiative for the household basket will be extended until June in order to protect consumers. It is recalled that the measure was initially calculated to last until March. Therefore, in the immediate future, the decision of the Competition Commission is expected to allow the extension of the measure.
