Process fever at the Ministry of Finance to put the final touches on the last bill – regardless of when the elections will be held as its official typically told us – which will probably come to the Parliament next week.

If space permits, the beneficiaries will increase, an attempt will be made to cover all 900,000 pensioners who did not receive increases due to personal differences.
Another accuracy check for low incomes and welfare recipients is not ruled out.
The encroachment arrangement will enable thousands of citizens who have owned properties for 30 and 40 years to buy and acquire title deeds for a price.
The amount of the price will be based on the objective value and the payment method can be either one-time with a 10% discount or in up to 60 monthly installments that cannot be less than €100.
However, a series of discounts are foreseen (registration in the Land Registry, large children, returnees, disabled, etc.) which can increase the total discount to 80%.
The amendment with improvements to the operation of the extrajudicial mechanism will also be included in the bill.
Between them :
- Expanding the scope so that debtors with a single debt can also be included.
- Abolition of the prepayment penalty for debts to the State
- Reduction of the interest rate for debts to the State from floating Euribor +5% to fixed 3%
- Inclusion of new debts such as third party debts collected by the tax administration.
- Obligation to justify their refusal to accept the regulation proposed by the algorithm, whether it is the financial institutions or the debtors.
The bill is expected to include provisions for the revival for thousands of debtors of their debt arrangements that they lost due to the pandemic and beyond.
The revival will concern both the arrangements for the debts to the tax office and to the insurance funds. It will be accompanied by a penalty of either a higher interest rate or a one-time repayment of 1-2 installments.
