With a mild rise, above the levels of 1,070 units, the stock market closed in today’s session.

Reduced trading activity from foreign portfolios mainly, in view of Easter, while the AX will remain closed tomorrow Friday and Monday like most European stock markets.

The market closed on a positive note for the seventh consecutive session, during which the main stock index registered a total gain of 4.94%.

The General Price Index closed at 1,074.00 points, marking an increase of 0.40%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,077.03 units (+0.68%).

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index registered a rise of 1.84%, while since the beginning of the year it has recorded gains of 15.51%,

The value of the transactions amounted to 46.38 million euros, while 14,318,648 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 0.36%, while the mid-cap index rose 1.33%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of PPC (+2.52%), Mytileneos (+1.78%), Viohalco (+1.33%) and OTE (+1.05 %)

On the contrary, the biggest decline was recorded by the shares of Quest Participations (-2.72%), Eurobank (-1.75%) and EYDAP (-1.03%).

Of the individual indices, the Trade (+2.88%) and Financial Services (+2.56%) indices recorded the greatest increase, while the Technology indices (-0.66%) and the Banks (-0.55%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 3,113,685 and 2,526,423 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 4.68 million euros and Piraeus with 4.63 million euros.

57 stocks moved up, 39 fell and 24 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Progressive +19.32% and Frigoglass +4.42%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: KREKA -9.09% and Dromeas -5.12%.
