Share prices closed with significant gains in today’s session with the market closing at the levels of 1,120 units with banking shares being at the center of investment interest.

The market moved upwards and with increased turnover, for the eleventh consecutive session, during which the main stock market index recorded total gains of 9.46%.

O General Price Index closed at 1,120.29 points, up 1.59%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,122.88 units (+1.82%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 134.74 million euros, while 54,941,144 shares were traded.

The large-cap index rose 1.70%, while the mid-cap index rose 0.77%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (+6.10%), Eurobank (+4.82%), Viohalco (+3.58%), Alpha Bank (+3, 39%) and Aegean Airlines (+3.24%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Motor Oil (-1.96%), Ellactor (-1.64%) and Mytileneos (-1.21%).

Of the individual indices, the Banks (+4.04%) and Travel (+1.79%) indices recorded the biggest increase, while the Health (-2.38%) and Oil indices recorded the biggest losses (-1.08%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and MIG, trading 14,768,665 and 11,119,726 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 18.25 million euros and Alpha Bank with 17.86 million euros.

62 stocks moved up, 35 fell and 29 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Piraeus +6.10% and Eurobank +4.82%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Viator -4.96% and Intertek -4.17%.
