Bloomberg highlights the rapid growth of tourism in Greece and the extension of the tourist season that has been achieved in an article entitled “The summer season in Greece has already begun”.

Bloomberg also quotes a statement from the Greek tourism minister regarding the strategy he followed with the aim of opening up to new markets and attracting big spender travelers. “”Now, when we talk about holidays, we don’t just mean the three months of summer”the Minister of Tourism recently stated on Greek television, Vassilis Kikilias. “This year, travelers started arriving on direct flights from the beginning of March – Canadians, Americans, Australians, Chinese, tourists from the Middle East and, of course, all Europeans – and this will continue until the end of the year.”
It is a trend that began in 2022 with the recovery strategy from the coronavirus pandemic,” the article says.
