Petrobras reported this Friday (14) a reduction of 70 thousand boed (barrels of oil equivalent per day) in the 2022 production target, to reflect the effect of the result of the second Round of Bidding for the Surplus of the Transfer of Rights, which will also have an impact on the total forecast for the business plan up to 2026.
With that, the company said in a statement that it will have a change in the range of 2.7 million boed to 2.6 million boed expected for this year, with a variation of 4% more or less.
The review will also impact oil production and commercial production by around 60,000 barrels/day, “but they remained at the same ranges”, respectively, of 2.1 million boed and 2.3 million boed, with a variation of 4 % up or down.
The company explained that the change reflects the beginning of the Production Sharing Regime in Atapu and Sépia, scheduled for the beginning of May 2022.
Petrobras also noted that the start of production sharing for the FPSOs P-70 and Carioca (in Atapu and Sépia, respectively) will impact the production target for the period from 2023 to 2026, with an estimated reduction of 100,000 boed.
The company also said it had confirmed the achievement of production targets for 2021.
