Brazil has a relatively larger share of its workers who say they are feeling the heavy effects of the pandemic compared to professionals from other parts of the world, according to a survey by consultancy Mercer Marsh.
The survey, which covered 14,000 employees from 13 countries, including 1,000 in Brazil, shows that 53% of respondents here say that the pandemic has had a total or large negative impact on their lives.
In terms of Latin America, this index drops to 37%, and in the world, to 33%.
The study also pointed to a decline in workers’ perception that their employers care about the team.
In Brazil, the percentage of employees who feel that their boss is concerned about their well-being dropped from 60% in 2019 to 39% in 2021.
In the world, this variation was less abrupt, falling from 49% to 46%.
