The nominal value of loans under management to other financial institutions decreased by 2 million euros, to 76 million euros at the end of the first quarter of 2023
At 70.6 billion euros rose the nominal value of the red loans that have fallen to the receivables management companies at the end of it first quarter of 2023, showing a decrease by 96 million euros in relation to the end of 2022.
It is recalled that the nominal value of the loans does not include unaccounted interest and write-offs from the credit institutions that transferred the loan portfolio.
According to the data announced by the Bank of Greece, the nominal value of business loans under management increased to 23.619 billion euros at the end of the first quarter of 2023, from 23.587 billion euros at the end of the previous quarter. In detail, the nominal value of loans to Non-Financial Enterprises (NFCs) increased by 34 million euros and amounted to 23.543 billion euros at the end of the first quarter of 2023. Of the managed loans to NFCs, an amount of 12.336 billion euros concerns loans to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The nominal value of loans under management to other financial institutions decreased by 2 million eurosto 76 million euros at the end of the first quarter of 2023.
The nominal value of loans under management to self-employed professionals, farmers and sole proprietorships decreased by 109 million euros compared to the previous quarter and stood at 9.556 billion euros at the end of the first quarter of 2023. This decrease is, however, due to a reclassification loans from the category of freelancers to the category of Private Non-Profit Institutions.
The nominal value of loans under management to individuals and private non-profit institutions decreased by 20 million euros compared to the previous quarter and amounted to 37.408 billion euros at the end of the first quarter of 2023. In detail, consumer loans under management showed a decrease of 48 million euros and amounted to 15.806 billion euros. Mortgage loans under management showed a decrease of 83 million euros and amounted to 21.303 billion euros.
