Strong upward trends were recorded by stock prices in today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market once again exceeding the levels of 1,270 units.

At the center of investment interest were banking shares and the securities of PPC and Jumbo.

The General Price Index closed at 1,275.26 points, marking an increase of 2.25%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,277.37 units (+2.42%).

The value of the transactions amounted to 117.89 million euros, while 38,792,950 shares were traded.

The large-cap index gained 2.66%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.72%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Piraeus (+5.45%), Eurobank (+4.76%), Ethniki (+4.71%), PPC (+4.17 %) and Jumbo (+4.17%).

On the contrary, only the share of Coca Cola HBC (-1.03%) recorded a decline.

Of the individual indices, the Banks (+4.51%) and Personal Products (+4.00%) indices recorded the biggest increase, while losses were recorded only by the Food index (-1.05%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Eurobank and Alpha Bank, trading 13,508,271 and 11,730,533 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Eurobank with 20.65 million euros and Alpha Bank with 17.69 million euros.

89 stocks moved up, 21 fell and 13 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Mathios Pyrimaha +16.82% and Space Hellas +9.20%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Tria ‘Alfa (k) -9.57% and Progressive -7.26%.
