The total number of registered unemployed in December 2021 amounted to 1,109,366 people compared to 1,091,618 people in November 2021 (percentage change + 1.63%) and against 1,181,296 people in December 2020 (percentage change -6.09 %), according to the registered unemployment statistics of OAED.
In particular, the total number of registered unemployed, based on the job search criteria (job seekers), in December 2021 amounted to 1,100,099 people. Of these, 579,400 (percentage 52.67%) are registered in the OAED register for a period equal to or more than 12 months and 520,699 (percentage 47.33%) are registered in the OAED register for a period of less than 12 months. Men amounted to 400,328 (percentage 36.39%) and women amounted to 699,771 (percentage 63.61%).
The total number of registered others (non-job seekers) in December 2021 amounted to 9,267 people. Men amounted to 3,392 (percentage 36.60%) and women amounted to 5,875 (percentage 63.40%).
The total of the subsidized unemployed, in December 2021, (concerns the number of beneficiaries paid within the respective month), amounted to 219,039 persons, of which 113,237 (51.70%) are common and other categories of subsidized and 105,802 (percentage 48.30%) are seasonal tourism professions. Men amounted to 93,028 (percentage 42.47%) and women amounted to 126,011 (percentage 57.53%).
Of the total subsidized unemployed, 95,173 (percentage 43.45%) are common, 1,768 (percentage 0.81%) are builders, 105,802 (percentage 48.30%) are seasonal tourism professions, 14,113 (percentage 6.44%) are seasonal others (rural), 2,005 (percentage 0.92%) are teachers and 178 (percentage 0.08%) are others.
