Bearish trends prevailed in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market retreating below the levels of 1,300 units.

From the high capitalization, the shares of OPAP, OTE and Quest moved against the current.

The General Price Index closed at 1,299.47 points, down 0.99%.

Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,316.30 units (+0.29%) and a lower price at 1,296.59 units (-1.21%).

On a weekly basis, the main stock market index closed with a marginal drop of 0.02%, while since the beginning of 2023 it has recorded gains of 39.76%.

The value of transactions amounted to 79.86 million euros, while 21,729,366 shares were traded.

The large-cap index fell 0.93%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.82%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of OPAP (+2.05%), OTE (+1.52%) and Quest Participations (+1.11%).

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (-4.52%), Alpha Bank (-3.21%), Viohalco (-2.85%), Ellaktor (-2.78%), Ethnikis (-2.77%) and Elvalhalcor (-2.49%).

Of the individual indices, the greatest increase was recorded by the indices of Travel (+1.77%) and Telecommunications (+1.50%), while the largest losses were recorded by the indices of Health (-2.44%), First Materials (-2.40%) and Banks (-2.19%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Piraeus and Alpha Bank with 5,684,735 and 4,779,952 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 17.83 million euros and Alpha Bank with 7.30 million euros.

29 stocks moved up, 75 down and 14 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Nakas +5.93% and Intralot +5.71%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Ilyda -7.42% and Frigoglass -7.18%.
